Counseling Staff

Mary is a staff counselor at CAPS Jacob's House. Mary earned her MS in Mental Health and School Counseling at UVM. She is a licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is working towards licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Mary attended the College of Wooster in OH, majoring in Art History. 

Prior to her counseling career, she worked at UVM’s Center for Cultural Pluralism focusing on the issues of intersections of culture and social justice at UVM and beyond. Mary works to provide a safe, judgment free space for all and helps students to remember/discover their own self, at their best, all the time. Mary is trained as a generalist and her interests include: racial and sexual identity development, anxiety and depression, substance use and abuse, trauma and developmental issues of college students. She is a member of the White Mountain Apache tribe and Kiowa Nation.
