Mark Reck (he/him) is a licensed psychologist-doctorate in the state of Vermont. In addition to his undergraduate and graduate education, Mark has additional clinical training in gestalt therapy from the Gestalt Therapy Training Center-Northwest in Portland, Oregon. Before coming to UVM, Mark worked at a number of university counseling centers, including Portland State University, Reed College, New Mexico State University, and UMass-Amherst. As a multiracial (Asian/Korean and White) cisgender male, Mark has a personal and professional passion for anti-oppression work across social identities, especially around racism/racial justice and sexism/healthy masculinity. Mark incorporates mindfulness and meditation within his work, though with an insight into decolonizing those practices and reclaiming their connection to the cultural traditions that birthed them.
