Catamount Sport Psychology & Counseling Coordinator

Kelly Thorne (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist embedded within the Department of Athletics.  She provides direct clinical care to student-athletes, consults with athletic medicine staff, coaches, and athletic support staff, and offers educational programming within the department.  Kelly is dedicated to supporting student-athletes in reaching their full potential, athletically, academically, and emotionally.  Her professional interests include developmental issues of college students, anxiety, depression, body image & disordered eating, relationships, substance use on campus, wellness, diversity & social justice, outreach, and supervision.  In addition to her UVM role, Kelly served on the Board of Directors, including a role as past-President, for the Association for University and College Counseling Center Outreach (AUCCCO), and she is on the Registry of Approved Mentors within the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
