Counseling Staff

Finn (they/he) is a licensed counselor located within the internet ether during COVID adventures. Finn loves working with clients who are seeking guidance with complex trauma/PTSD, LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiousness, the process of transitioning, pervasive sadness, sexual issues, anger, self-harm, the desire to be more authentic in the world, or embracing awkwardness… among other things that make being a human messy. Finn has obtained trainings in EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and uses other modalities to adjust the work to the specific situation and comfort level of the client. They are also working on a post graduate certificate in Sex Therapy and Education from the University of Michigan.

Finn recognizes their identity as a white clinician and diligently attempts to stay cognizant and educated about their privilege. They believe in the importance of providing a nonjudgmental, body positive/neutral, sex positive, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and gender explorative space to offer whatever support is needed for the client to feel truly respected and appreciated. Laughter, authenticity and curiosity are also main players in their work. Finn approaches their work collaboratively, and with a client-centered humanistic perspective.
