Counseling Staff

Cara Chinchar (she/her) is committed to providing a warm, nonjudgmental environment for people of all identities seeking support for a wide variety of experiences including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, family dynamics and university/college experiences.  She works to support each individual’s increasing awareness of what might be contributing to their distress and then offers skills that increase mastery and empowerment around optimal mental health and overall wellbeing. Cara believes that a caring, supportive relationship in counseling can often help people find more joy in their daily lives and change habits that may be getting in the way of a person’s hopes or goals.

Cara has brown hair and wears a beige shirt. She stands in front of a bike rack.
