Capital Planning and Management (CPM) has administrative oversight of the Planning, Design and Construction office. The CPM Director serves as a liaison to the two super committees for the Board of Trustees – Educational Policy and Institutional Resources (EPIR) and Budget Finance & Investment (BFI), and provides material/presentations for long-range planning and capital projects for the Vice President for Finance and the Provost. The Director works with the Provost's Office, deans, department chairs, and vice presidents to support their programmatic space and capital project needs.

Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) is responsible for the built-environment of the University's campuses, through facilitation and management of land use planning and capital development. Services include development and implementation of the Campus Master Plan, land use regulatory processes and planning policies, space planning and mapping, and city/institutional relations.

PDC is also responsible for coordination and management of the design, construction and contract administration for the University's capital projects, including new construction and major renovation, implementation of sustainable design parameters, and design and oversight of small-scale architectural projects.
