The catskill_veg_11class data layer is clipped to only show data within the Catskill Park boundary.

The catskill_veg_11class data layer was derived from the catskill_veg data layer using 
catskill_veg_11classes.avc.  The species mixes in the original 22 class catskill_veg data layer 
are combined in the 11 class veg_11class data layer by dominant genus.

catskill_veg_11names.txt is a comma delimited text file that pairs the catskill_veg_11class data 
  layer's veg class value with the appropriate veg class name.

catskill_veg_11class.avl is an ArcView 3.1 legend file that adds the appropriate veg class name and 
  color to each veg class value in the catskill_veg_11class data layer's legend.

veg_11class.aux is a file produced by ArcGIS 9 that specifies the projection

veg_11class.lyr is an ArcGIS 9 file layer file that adds the appropriate veg class name and color to 
 each veg class value in the catskill_veg_11class data layer's legend.
