This project contains the data, publications, and documentation from the Bard College's Water Lab monitoring program on the Saw Kill Watershed and Roeliff Jansen Kill in upstate New York. The Bard Water Lab is a student-run, community-centered laboratory devoted to bringing water science to water communities. The Bard Water Lab studies water in all its phases—liquid, gaseous, and solid—as we expand watershed-level management thinking to include the concept of airsheds, which requires a better understanding of the interconnectedness of watersheds across the water landscape.

- dataset_eml_datatabledescription: The Roe Jan Watershed Community (RJWC) began monitoring the Roeliff Jansen Kill for Enterococcus, a sewage-indicating bacteria, in May 2016. As of 2017, RJWC members sample at 16 points in the Roe Jan, its tributaries, and the nearby Hudson from October to May. Entero samples are processed at the Bard Water Lab, which also records temperature and conductivity data collected by RJWC volunteers while sampling.
