Nominations are now being accepted for Member at Large to the Faculty Senate Executive Council

Nominations can be submitted online with this form, or made from the floor of the Faculty Senate at its meeting on Monday, March 27, 2023.  Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominees will be placed on an election ballot that will be distributed for vote in April.

ELIGIBILITY TO SERVE:

Elected Faculty Senators are eligible to serve as member at-large to the Senate Executive Council.  Senators representing any unit are eligible to fill these vacant seats.

TERM: 

The Faculty Senate is seeking nominations for one (1) Members At-Large to the Faculty Senate Executive Council to complete the final year of the two-year term of a current at large member who will be retiring. The one year term will begin on July 1, 2023 and end on June 30, 2024

DUTIES:

These Senators serve as the voice of elected Senators at the Executive Council meetings. Therefore, they are required to attend Faculty Senate Executive Council meetings, in addition to the Faculty Senate meetings.  Both Senate and Executive Council meetings are held monthly on Mondays from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.  The duties of the Members At-Large to the Executive Council are outlined in the Faculty Senate Constitution and Bylaws.  The full document is available on the Faculty Senate website (www.uvm.edu/faculty_senate).
