Communications Specialist

Cheryl has been with the Center since the fall of 2011, and has the privilege of telling the story of the Center staff and faculty's good work. She earned her BA in Cultural Studies at Burlington College in 1995, received a Master's in Sustainable Leadership Systems through UVM's Rubenstein School in 2019, and began a doctoral program in Transdisciplinary Leadership in summer 2021.

She brings diverse experiences in non-profit fund raising and communications, freelance writing, marketing and social media, and a long love affair with Vermont food. Cheryl is the CALS/Extension representative on the University Diversity Council, serves as Extension's Staff Council representative, is a past chair of Extension's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, and past member of the CALS Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

For her, communications, equity, inclusion and justice work come together through intentional processes that build our collective imagination towards a world in which all may truly thrive.

She lives, cooks, gardens and writes in Burlington with her two sons.
