We all enjoy fresh garden-grown fruits and vegetables. By using proper techniques, yards and gardens can be both beautiful and productive, and it is possible to produce top-quality crops while maintaining soil fertility and protecting our natural waters. A variety of programs and resources are made available on our website and the UVM Extension Community Horticulture Program is just a click away.

Pest Management

The University of Vermont Extension provides information on pest management to homeowners as well as to producers of many different crops. We use Extension's nationwide network of specialists to help you find the information you need. Our faculty and staff can help you identity pests and determine your management options, following an IPM (Integrated Pest Management) approach: prevention, monitoring and use of the least toxic controls (if needed).
