Tree Steward Program
Are you passionate about Trees? Do you want to learn more about them and how to care for them? Do you want to make a difference in YOUR community? Then you may be interested in the Stewardship of the Urban Landscape (SOUL) course offered by the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program.
The course prepares participants to become stewards of the forest in which they live by covering topics from tree identification, biology and planting to resource assessment, landscape design and conservation planning. Through a series of six evening classes and three Saturday hands-on sessions, participants will gain 40 hours of instruction and become part of an invaluable community forestry network. This educational opportunity is based on over fifteen years of SOUL Tree Steward programs which has graduated more than 400 Vermonters!
