Town Officers Education Conferences
The annual Town Officers' Education Conferences, which provide training for more than 300 municipal officials and citizen volunteers, were held in three Vermont locations in April 2016.
The conferences, now in their 71st year, are organized by University of Vermont Extension in partnership with several participating organizations. They are designed to help town clerks, planners, listers, select board members and other officials do their jobs more effectively by providing updates on tax laws and regulations, municipal recordkeeping and effective strategies for handling planning, zoning and other town issues. 2016 Fees: $71 in honor of the conferences' 71st year. If using a credit card, payment is due at registration. If paying by cash or check, then the registration fee will be due by the conference date.
Scholarships: The Vermont Institute of Government has graciously offered to provide a limited number of partial scholarships (up to half an attendee's fee, typically) to local officials who would otherwise be unable to attend. Priority will go to those from small towns (populations 1,000 and under) who have exhausted all other potential sources of funds. If interested, please contact Pam Lowell (Pamela.Lowell@uvm.edu or 802-773-3349).

However, other refunds requested may carry a fee. There is no fee for those requesting a refund on or before March 29, 2016. There is a $25 fee for those requesting a refund after March 29, 2016.
Registration fees are fully transferable to another individual or location.
Conference no-shows are subject to the full registration fee.
Extenuating circumstances may occasionally occur and we review those on a case-by-case basis.
All cancellation, transfer, and site-switching requests must be emailed to Pamela.Lowell@uvm.edu or faxed to Pam Lowell (802-775-4840).
