Vermont PBS’ Sid-athon Saturday

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: 204 Ethan Allen Avenue
Description: Who: Military families – best for young children up to grade 5

Details: Join Vermont PBS, Military Kids Vermont and the Vermont National Guard Child & Youth Program as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child together! We'll have popcorn, balloon animals, face painting, pictures with Sid the Science Kid AND the premier of a new film featuring Sid! Come to the Vermont PBS station for a day of fun and friends. More details to follow, so stay tuned. Event is free and open to all military families with young kids are invited to attend, but this event is geared toward a younger audience (kids up to grade 5).

Partners of Military Kids Vermont April Vacation Camp

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Location: Camp Johnson, Colchester VT
Description: Who: Military youth in grades 4-8

UVM Extension 4-H, UVM Watershed Alliance, Military OneSource, The Greater Burlington YMCA, VFW Post 6689 Ladies Auxiliary, AmeriCorps and others in support of military children and families, are coming together to offer this unique camp for Vermont's military kids. Each day we’ll do something completely different from the next! Parents may drop children off between 8am and 8:30am. Pick-up is at 3:30pm. Campers are asked to bring a bagged lunch and drink with them each day. We will provide snacks.

Whole Farm Planning for Beginning Women Farmers

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Berlin Extension Office
Description: Beginning women farmers (those with 2-10 years running a farming business) in Vermont can learn more about whole farm planning in a program developed specifically for women.

Application Deadline: Nov. 13, 2014
Fees: $150-$500

Scholarship and Financial Aid information: Financial aid is available for eligible individuals. At the end of the registration form, you can make a request for financial aid.
