4-H Shooting Sports Pistol Workshop

Description: This workshop is designed for any current 4-H Volunteer interested in 4-H Pistol at the club level and Teen Leaders 14 yrs and older with parent permission. 4-H Poultry Quiz Bowl and Eggciting Activities

Time: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Description: Johnson State College, Johnson, VT 05656. This event is open to all currently enrolled 4-H youth between the ages of 8-18 as of Jan. 1st of the current 4-H year. Skill-a-thon stations - could be anything related to poultry... Prizes awarded for the 1-4th place in each age division. This year we will be having a egg salad contest! Bring your favorite egg salad prepared and ready for tasting and bring a cooler to keep it fresh. Prepare enough for judging and sharing. Participants will cast votes for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded. UVM Extension will provide the crackers! s event! Follow the signs from the School St. college entrance. RSVP encouraged. Whole Farm Planning for Beginning Women Farmers (Snow date)

Description: Beginning women farmers (those with 2-10 years running a farming business) in Vermont can learn more about whole farm planning in a program developed specifically for women.

Vermont Organic Dairy Producers Conference

Description: Offered in collaboration with NOFA , Vermont's Dairy Technical Assistance Program. This year we have two keynote speakers, Dr. Rober Moon, a veterinary entomologist at the University of Minnesota and Dr. Guy Jodarski, a staff veterinarian for Organic Valley, CROPP Cooperative. Dr. Heather Darby will present on recent resarch evaluating on-farm precision feed management and connections between soil fertility, feed quality, and milk quality.
