Explore the connections between making art, looking at art, and how these activities relate to the science of optical illusions and other visual curiosities. Topics will include anamorphic and linear perspective, chiaroscuro (light and shadow), inattentional blindness, scanpaths and eye tracking, pareidolia (seeing imaginary faces), impossible structures, and many other visual curiosities.
