Burack Lecture: Partnerships for Healthy Eating and Physical Activity in Schools - Nick Cutforth, PhD
Professor of Research Methods and Statistics, Morgridge College of Education, University of Denver; Adjunct Professor Colorado School of Public Health's Rocky Mountain Prevention Research Center
Most children in Colorado's San Luis Valley live in poverty. Schools struggle to meet their students' needs due to insufficient resources, lack of professional development, and other support tools. In his lecture, Professor Cutforth will share an approach that has resulted in long-term partnerships in the San Luis Valley. Through stories, pictures, and testimonials, he will share how these partnerships are the foundation for empirically tested programs that have led to improved opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity in schools.
