Revising/Reshaping Assignments in Sudden Remote Instruction

With this quick move to remote instruction, some faculty may need to revise, tweak, or otherwise adjust assignments and assessments.   If you had planned particular tests or assignments that now don’t seem to fit your remote teaching plan, join colleagues to explore ways to transform your assessment expectations so that students can demonstrate their learning in other formats.  The purpose of this workshop is to provide an opportunity to discuss options for assignments that demonstrate comprehensive learning, and to consider both the opportunities and limits of technology for helping faculty support students.

This workshop will be held virtually.  Please be prepared to participate on a device with a video camera and microphone from a quiet space.
In preparation for the session, please:
2) Identify your top 2-3 learning objectives for your course and consider which of those are connected to the upcoming test(s) you are considering shifting. Brainstorm the particular ways the test connects to those outcomes. Be prepared to discuss your thoughts on alternatives with colleagues during the session.
