How to Respond to Microaggressions in the Lab or Classroom

Thursday, August 25, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

When people with marginalized identities experience bias in the classroom, it negatively impacts teaching and learning.

This workshop, designed for anyone in an instructional role, will provide a common understanding of microaggressions and why intervention matters. We’ll explore proactive ways to create a culture of addressing microaggressions and practice using a framework for responding in these critical moments.

Facilitated by Jen Garrett-Ostermiller, CTL Educational Developer
