Monday, May 20, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Free

Four UVM faculty from the UVM Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) initiative will discuss their research projects focused on their own teaching practices and student learning outcomes. Participating in the SoTL method of research enables a faculty member to gain insights into their own pedagogy and consequences for student learning. Each panelist will share their individual research focus for their SoTL projects regarding implementation of a variety of innovative teaching techniques such as specifications grading, embodied learning, and restorative circles, as well as their project outcomes. In addition, they will discuss what they each found useful about being engaged with the SoTL initiative at UVM.
