FreeConversations with Colleagues
About this new series
Faculty often report that they value the discussion among participants in CTL workshops and would like more opportunities to connect with colleagues across the disciplines. In this new series, we’ll gather to discuss specific critical questions or controversies about teaching and contemplate new practices. Join us to explore a variety of teaching topics and benefit from the collective wisdom. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided.
We expect to uphold these principles across all conversations:
- Respect confidentiality
- Demonstrate an attitude of care and compassion
- Ground comments in evidence as much as possible
- Focus on productive change and solving problems
This session’s topic:
Discussion facilitated by Jen Garrett-Ostermiller and Annie Murray-Close.
In anticipation of this conversation, we suggest reading/skimming these articles:
For robust dialogue, we will require a minimum of six registrants for any session to run (registrants will be notified 24 hours, one way or the other), so please invite your colleagues!
The day before your workshop, you will receive communication from the CTL with information about how to join and participate in this event.
