Coaching Students to be Better Peer Reviewers (Session 1)

Friday, October 12 2018
@ 10:30 AM- 11:45 AM

This workshop is part of the Designing Writing Assignments workshop series which focuses on helping participants develop writing assignments for a course (in progress, or in the planning stage). Each workshop builds on the previous, but it's possible to attend one or two if the entire series doesn't fit into your schedule.

About this workshop: Peer interactions can help students develop their sense of what criteria for success look like in action. Peer response works well if you teach students how and why it works, and why you value it in your course. This workshop will introduce several rationales for peer responses, provide strategies for how to prepare students to do effective reviews, and offer participants the chance to try peer review themselves.

Note: this semester, we are offering each workshop twice! Please register for only your preferred session.
