CANCELLED: Getting the Most Out of Blackboard Tools for Student Assignments

Thursday, March 02 2017
@ 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM
What are the Blackboard tools for student work? How do you choose which to use?
  • Blogs to collect and share information class-wide (resources, problem sets, latest news)
  • Journals for students to privately share work with you (reflections, drafts)
  • Wikis to build collaborative or individual projects that are “book-like” with multiple pages and a table of contents (reports, encyclopedic-type collections)
  • The Assignment Tool to collect work in a “dropbox." If these files are created as docs, spreadsheets, or pdf files, you can comment on them directly in Blackboard without having to download.

In the workshop you will try each of these tools as a student, learn how to set them up in your own Blackboard course, including how to connect them to the Bb Grade Center.
