Introduction to Program-Level Curriculum Mapping for Chairs and Assessment Coordinators

Tuesday, January 24 2017
@ 9:30 AM- 11:30 AM
This workshop for department/program chairs and assessment coordinators (unit or department) will offer an introduction to curriculum mapping in the higher education context, with a focus on curriculum mapping at the program/major level. After introducing curriculum maps and exploring some examples, participants will have the opportunity to work on a section of curriculum map for their program and map out next steps to pursue with their department. After the workshop, participants can continue to receive support as their department develops a curriculum map and assessment plan.

This workshop is intended for program chairs and assessment coordinators. However, some departments may wish to send a small team (2-3 people) to the workshop. Participants should bring a copy of their current program-level learning outcomes. If your department has not yet finished developing assessable learning outcomes, contact J. Dickinson (jennifer.dickinson@uvm.edu) to discuss whether this workshop is right for you at this time.
