Book Group: How People Learn

Wednesday, December 07 2016
@ 8:30 AM- 9:30 AM
Join colleagues to explore how learning works and what faculty can do to help students learn more effectively. How People Learn, a report of the National Research Council, examines research into learning and its implications for what we teach, how we teach it, and how we assess learning. This new knowledge calls into question concepts and practices firmly entrenched in our current education system. The book is available for free digital download here.

This book group will meet for one hour, three times over the semester:

  • Wednesday, October 12 @ 8:30
  • Monday, October 31 @ 9:15
  • Monday, November 14 @ 9:30
  • Wednesday, December 7 @ 8:30
Please register for each date that you will be attending. A light breakfast will be available 15 minutes prior to each meeting.

If you have a strong preference for a hard copy of the book, please let us know.
