ARTS 195 – CL: Prison Painting Project

Course Description: Intermediate course or seminars on topics beyond the scope of existing departmental offerings. See Schedule of Courses for specific titles.
Section Description: Students will collaborate with incarcerated women to design and paint a mural in the South Burlington Women’s Prison. The course will be comprised of five sessions over five weeks The sessions are comprised of an orientation, a collaborative design meeting with the residents, two painting sessions at the prison, and a final reflection.
