EDSP 332 – Resilnce&Trauma-Inform Practic

Course Description: An inter-professional approach to trauma-informed and resiliency based approaches that aim to enhance well-being for children, youth, families, and their own selves. In-service and pre-service students from across professions (child welfare, health/mental, education) will build toolkit of strategies. Prerequisite: EDSP 330 or EDSP 331 or Instructor permission.

Section Description: This course is part of the graduate course sequence related to Resilience-Oriented and Trauma responsive practices. EDSP 332 will focus on the collaborative and interprofessional application of foundational content learned in EDSP 330 or 331. Students in this course will engage in an interprofessional approach aimed to enhance well-being for children, youth, families, and their own selves. At the end of this semester, in-service and pre-service students from across professions (child welfare, health/mental health, coaching, and schools) will have built a toolbox of skills and activities that they will be able to use to effectively collaborate with other professionals and most importantly with children, youth and families who have experienced trauma and adversity.
