Important Update!

The University of Vermont will celebrate its 217th Commencement on Sunday, May 20.  While Sunday’s forecast is calling for rain showers it does not indicate severe weather, therefore the University Commencement Main Ceremony and College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony will take place outdoors on the University Green.  Graduates and guests are urged to dress appropriately for the weather. Tickets will not be required for the University Main Ceremony or the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony.

Tickets are required for the following ceremonies regardless of weather:

Grossman School of Business Ceremony
College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences Ceremony
Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources Ceremony
The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine Ceremony

All other college/school ceremonies do not require tickets.

Tickets will be available online to degree candidates only. Guests seeking tickets must connect with their degree candidate. Tickets are event specific. If you are attending more than one ceremony that requires tickets, you will need a ticket for each ceremony.

Tickets cannot be duplicated. Guests will be required to have their printed tickets on them at all times and will need them for exit and entry at the Multipurpose Facility, where the Main Commencement Ceremony and College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony will be held; at the Ira Allen Chapel, where the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine Ceremony will be held; the Flynn Center for Performing Arts where the Grossman School of Business and the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences will be held; and the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Burlington (formerly the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center) where the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources will be held.

Guests with accessibility requests and attending a ticketed ceremony will still need to receive a ticket from their degree candidate.  To request Deaf and Disability Accommodations please submit an online Accessibility Request Form.

There is no fee for tickets to any of the commencement ceremonies requiring tickets.

Degree candidates and faculty dressed in academic regalia and participating in their academic procession do not need a ticket for any ceremony, including individual college/school ceremonies.
