Tickets are NOT required for the following ceremonies:

  • Graduate College Commencement Ceremony – Saturday, May 21
  • Honors College Scholars Recognition Ceremony – Saturday, May 21
  • University Commencement Main Ceremony – Sunday, May 22
  • College of Agriculture and Life Sciences – Sunday, May 22
  • College of Arts and Sciences (Outdoor Ceremony) – Sunday, May 22 (see below for ticketing information in case of severe weather)
  • College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences – Sunday, May 22
  • College of Nursing and Health Sciences – Sunday, May 22

Tickets ARE required for the following ceremonies:

  • College of Arts and Sciences (Severe Weather) – Sunday, May 22
  • College of Education and Social Services – Sunday, May 22
  • Grossman School of Business – Sunday, May 22
  • Larner College of Medicine – Sunday, May 22
  • Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources – Sunday, May 22

Please note: the University Commencement Main Ceremony will be held outdoors on the University Green rain or shine.  In the event of severe weather, the ceremony on the University Green will be cancelled, but a modified commencement program will be livestreamed.

 

Information for Ticketed Ceremonies:

PLEASE NOTE: Students eligible for more than one ceremony (for example: Grossman School of Business and College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences) will need to reserve tickets for EACH of the ceremonies if they have guests planning to attend both ceremonies.

There is no fee for tickets to any of the commencement ceremonies.

College of Arts and Sciences (severe weather only) – Sunday, May 22

Tickets are NOT required to attend the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony if the ceremony is held outdoors on the University Green as planned. The ceremony will be held outdoors rain or shine.  In the event of severe weather the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony will be moved indoors to Patrick Gymnasium on the Athletic Campus. Seating is limited at this indoor venue and tickets will be required for the ceremony.  Undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences degree candidates will have the opportunity to reserve up to 2 tickets for the severe weather indoor location.  Guests without tickets will be able to view the ceremony on large screen display in the Davis Center.

Students in regalia participating in the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony do not need a ticket.

College of Education and Social Services, The Flynn – Sunday, May 22

Tickets are required for the College of Education and Social Services Ceremony regardless of weather. Degree candidates will be able to reserve up to 6 tickets. Students in regalia participating in the College of Education and Social Services Ceremony do not need a ticket.

Grossman School of Business, The Flynn – Sunday, May 22

Tickets are required for the Grossman School of Business Ceremony regardless of weather. Degree candidates will be able to reserve up to 5 tickets. Students in regalia participating in the Grossman School of Business Ceremony do not need a ticket.

Larner College of Medicine, Ira Allen Chapel – Sunday, May 22

Tickets are required for the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine Commencement Ceremony regardless of weather. Degree candidates will be able to reserve up to 6 tickets. Students in regalia participating in the Larner College of Medicine Ceremony do not need a ticket.

Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, DoubleTree Hotel – Sunday, May 22

Tickets are required for the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources Ceremony regardless of weather. Degree candidates will be able to reserve up to 4 tickets. Students in regalia participating in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources Ceremony do not need a ticket.

 

Additional Details (applies to all ticketed ceremonies):

  • Degree candidates and faculty do not need a ticket to participate in any ticketed commencement ceremony.
  • Only degree candidates will be able to reserve tickets; details were emailed to degree candidates in April 2022. Guests must receive their tickets from their degree candidate.
  • All ceremonies will be live streamed; these broadcasts can be found at uvmcommencement.com.
  • All ceremonies will be live streamed and a link to these broadcasts will be available on the Commencement homepage closer to the ceremony date.
