Clinical Assistant Professor

After graduating from UVM with a microbiology and molecular genetics degree and conducting bench research, Professor Kate Goodwin realized she wanted to work directly with the people she was impacting. Professor Goodwin graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a second bachelor's degree in nursing in 2010 and has worked in pediatric nursing ever since. She earned her M.S.N. in pediatric primary care at Northeastern in 2014. She worked as a staff RN in the intensive care nursery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and in inpatient and outpatient pediatrics at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Professor Goodwin maintains clinical practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Lakeside Pediatrics in Burlington, where she enjoys the continuity of primary care.
