Associate Professor Emerita

Dr. Jeanine Carr has been a faculty member at the University of Vermont for over 20 years, teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs; retiring in 2017. She chaired the Department of Nursing for three years and was the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for five years. Before retiring in 2017, she taught the first nursing course that students take in the RN-BS program and the issues and leadership course that students take in the final semester of the undergraduate program.

Dr. Carr has been a member of the Vermont State Board of Nursing since 2007. She is professionally affiliated with the American Nurses Association, the Vermont State Nurses Association, and the Vermont Organization of Nurse Leaders. She has been an author of several published research studies, and her areas of interest and expertise include qualitative research methods, leadership, nursing theory and nursing regulation.
