Clinical Instructor

Genell is a visiting clinical faculty member and will be teaching maternal child health to undergraduate nursing students. Prior to joining the UVM faculty, Genell practiced as a nurse midwife throughout the northeastern U.S. She has most recently taught women's health, alternative and complementary therapies, maternal child health, and leadership (specializing in incivility and unkindness in the healthcare workplace), and advanced history and physical assessment. She rejoins her two sons and grandchildren in Vermont. When not teaching she enjoys biking, swimming, hiking and gardening; and yoga and mindfulness practices.
