Clinical Assistant Professor

Emily Glassman holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She joined the UVM Department of Nursing as full time faculty in 2018. Emily is a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN-K) Educator with over 12 years experience in the field of nursing. She has presented her work on the need for critical care mentorship opportunities at regional and national conferences. She maintains a clinical practice at the University of Vermont Medical Center with a focus on chronic illness management in the outpatient Infusion Center. Emily has a strong passion for palliative medicine and end-of-life care, completing her certification as an End of Life Doula through the University of Vermont in 2021. Emily encourages deeper learning and refined focus in her classroom by utilizing contemplative learning pedagogy practices such as mindfulness and meditation activities. In her personal life, Emily enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors with her family.
