Clinical Assistant Professor

Cynthia Frimpong is board certified as a Family Psych & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration( Accounting) from Valley View University and has worked as an accountant for over ten years. In addition, she completed a second bachelor's in Nursing from Fortis college, completed her master's degree in nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University, completed her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certificate (PMHNP) program from Regis college and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Capella University. Cynthia is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- (Across lifespan). Cynthia has mental health Nursing experience working in an inpatient psychiatric unit, Corrections, and school setting. She is trained in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and received a Certificate of Waiver from SAMHSA to treat substance use disorders. She is a Board Certified Telemental Healthcare Provider (BC-TMHE ) and currently runs her private mental health practice in Shelburne, Vermont.
