Services

Through rigorous institutional evaluation and needs assessments, including staff and practitioner surveys, the Osher Center for Integrative Health strives to bring integrative therapies to the outpatient and inpatient arenas and to help address the growing demand for integrative health in the region. The following integrative patient programs and services are available at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Comprehensive Pain Program

Opened in September 2018, the Comprehensive Pain Program offers a range of integrative services to patients with chronic pain. 

Integrative Therapies at the UVM Cancer Center

Services include massage in the Infusion Center, inpatient oncology floor and for metastatic patients; yoga; acupuncture in the Infusion Center (beginning September 2018); mindfulness-based stress reduction; and Reiki. 

Integrative Therapies at the UVM Children’s Hospital

Massage, yoga and music therapy are available to inpatient pediatric patients through a generous grant from Lucy’s Love Bus. We also offer Reiki through our Child Life Specialists.
