Promoting and Protecting the Health and Wellbeing of Individuals and Communities

The Department of Biomedical and Health Sciences strives to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through the education and training of students to become leaders in Public Health Sciences, medical laboratory science, and medical radiation sciences. Whether assessing and addressing emerging public health issues, providing clinical testing, diagnostic services, and therapeutic treatments for cancer, or discovering new mechanisms underlying cancer, chronic and infectious diseases, our students are prepared to apply their knowledge in the world.

Programs

All of our programs offer an integrated curriculum with courses in the liberal arts; physical, life, and health sciences; and hands-on experience through clinical practica or field work. Students have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research with one of our expert faculty members or those from outside of the department. Graduates of all three degree programs are prepared for immediate employment in various health fields or graduate study. View program curriculum sheets >>
