As a Professional Development Coordinator for UVM's Tarrant Institute for Innovative Education, Jeanie Phillips works with educators around Vermont to make learning more meaningful, relevant, and equitable for middle school students. Jeanie hosts #vted Reads, a podcast by, for and with Vermont educators discussing books for professional development and use in the classroom. 

A former school librarian and a 2014 Rowland Fellow, Jeanie is currently pursuing a doctorate in the Education Leadership and Policy Studies program at UVM. Her research interests include culturally responsive practices, interrupting white dominant practices in schools, and facilitating professional learning focused on racial equity.
