Educational Consultant (Vermont I-Team)

Mary Ellen is the Central Region Educational Consultant for the Vermont I-Team.

Mary Ellen works collaboratively with school teams to plan and provide the best education possible for students with complex communication and learning needs through a consultative and training model.

She holds a Master of Education from The University of Vermont (UVM) and Certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP). Mary Ellen is an Adjunct Lecturer in the College of Education and Social Services at UVM and Special Education Faculty with the Vermont Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program (VT-LEND) in the College of Medicine at UVM.

She has helped coordinate and implement projects at the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion at UVM since 1982. Areas of interest include interdisciplinary collaboration, inclusive educational practices, Universal Design for Learning, and training culturally responsive educators and clinicians and future leaders.

Mary Ellen is employed by the Central Vermont Supervisory Union in partnership with Vermont I-Team.
