AT Access Specialist, Assistive Technology Tryout Center at UVM

Leslie manages the Assistive Technology Tryout Center at CDCI through a grant from the VATP. Core services include providing information regarding AT devices, services, and funding by phone, by email, to walk-in visitors, and on our website; demonstrating specific AT devices or software for the purpose of assisting consumers in making informed decisions about AT; making short-term equipment loans of up to 30 days to allow consumers to try out and evaluate AT devices; providing informational displays and equipment demos for outreach events such as support group meetings, professional meetings, conferences and exhibitions; and organizing instructional events and presentations for a specific purpose or audience, designed to increase participants' knowledge, skills, and competencies regarding AT. Leslie graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Champlain College in 2006 and received her "Assistive Technology Professional" Certification through RESNA in 2015.
