Hannah Ullman is the New England Transportation Consortium (NETC) Coordinator at the University of Vermont Transportation Research Center (TRC). She coordinates and manages the research projects among the the six New England state DOTs which are part of the research cooperative. Hannah also conducts qualitative research through the Northeast Transportation Workforce Center (NETWC) on program efficacy regarding National Summer Transportation Institutes (NSTI). Her goal is to understand whether these summer programs have long-term impact on middle and high school students' interest in and pursuit of transportation-specific career paths. Hannah joined the TRC in October 2017 after completing her Master's degree at the University of Vermont in Community Development and Applied Economics. While a graduate student, Hannah worked with Dr. Lisa Aultman-Hall on interregional travel access research. Hannah is particularly interested in equity issues surrounding transportation, including barriers to long-distance travel and perceived needs.
