Modern CNC milling and machining tools are essential to industries from automotive to aerospace. Two new Hurco CNC Machining Centers and an OMAX Water Jet were added to the CEMS Machine Shop in 2018. The addition of the new machining centers will allow us to teach both traditional and modern machining techniques. Music by Sikhara.

Shop Supervisor: Floyd Vilmont
The shop is a resource for students and faculty needing assistance with prototyping, specifically metals machining. The shop houses two HURCO CNC's, OMAX Waterjet, mills, lathes, horizontal and vertical band saws, and a welding area. The shop is used by ME081 Mechanical Engineering Shop Experience students and is a resource for student projects and research labs.
