4 Year Plan for Career Success
The 4 Year Plan for Career Success is a "roadmap" designed to help students develop academic and career goals, beginning in their first year at UVM. It's a comprehensive tool you can use to engage students in high impact practices that support learning and integrate career development into your work with students in the classroom or in advising.
Here are some ways you can integrate the plan into your courses:
- Collaborate with the Career Center or the CEMS Career Readiness Program Coordinator on career-related alumni panels or class presentations
- Assign specific activities on the 4 Year Plan as part of course requirements
- Ask students to bring their 4 Year Plan for Career Success to their advising session and set goals for the next semester
The 4 year plan for career success templates and examples can be found online.
If you are contacted by an employer about a job or internship, please forward the position and information to Lauren Petrie, CEMS Career Readiness Program Coordinator, at Lauren.Petrie@uvm.edu. We will post the job/internship on UVM’s Career Database, Handshake and forward the positions to CEMS students.
