4 Year Path to Career Success
The 4 Year Path to Career Success is a "roadmap" designed to help students develop academic and career goals, beginning in their first year at UVM. It's a comprehensive tool you can use to engage students in high impact practices that support learning and integrate career development into your work with students in the classroom or in advising.
Here are some ways you can integrate the plan into your courses:
- Collaborate with the Career Center or the CEMS Career Readiness Program Coordinator on career-related alumni panels or class presentations
- Assign specific activities on the 4 Year Path as part of course requirements
- Ask students to bring their 4 Year Path to Career Success to their advising session and set goals for the next semester
If you are contacted by an employer about a job or internship, please forward the position and information to the CEMS Career Readiness Program Coordinator to their personal email or to firstname.lastname@example.org. We like to track out employers on UVM’s Career Database, Handshake, and assist in helping employers post their positions and forward the positions to CEMS students.
If you are interested in getting connected with employers, please reach out to the Coordinator who will be happy to share any connections with you to strengthen our relationships!
Workshops, Panels, & Classroom Presentations
CEMS Career Readiness Program Coordinator, Becca Kronenbitter, and the career counselors at the UVM Career Center are available to provide workshops, employer/alumni/career panels, and class presentations related to career preparation. Contact Holly at Holly.Fosher@uvm.edu to schedule an event.
