In addition to our courses in language study, we offer a full range of classes on the written works and cultures of the many regions of the world where the languages we teach are spoken, and on the form and meaning of human language itself.

We offer literature and culture courses as well as advanced courses in the languages. Our curriculum covers the full extent of the areas of the world where our languages are spoken - from European countries such as France, Spain, and Italy to places like Québec, Latin America, Africa, and the Caribbean. All courses are conducted in the language you are studying.

In our linguistics courses, students examine the structure, use, acquisition, and development of the languages of the world. Students in our program have access to an interdisciplinary array of courses, studying with professors who specialize in a variety of of language topics including formal grammar, historical linguistics, language and culture, language acquisition, cognition, and bilingualism.
