Natalie Neuert has spent her entire working life within the realm of the performing arts. Currently she is the Director of the UVM Lane Series, a position she has held since 2012. Prior to being named Director, she managed the series for 16 years. As Director, her focus is on programming over 25 shows a year from folk music, jazz, world music, classical, and more. Before that, she was the Marketing Manager of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra for 4 years and taught in the Theatre Department of Saint Michael's College. Before moving to Vermont in 1989, she worked in New York and New Jersey as a professional actor, director, and stage manager, working with such artists as Olympia Dukakis, Austin Pendelton, Louis Zorich, and Ping Chong. She holds a BFA in Acting and Directing from Montclair State University, and an MFA in Directing for the Stage from Pennsylvania State University. In addition to her duties as Director, she also teaches (at UVM) Arts Management, Music in Live Performance, and Aesthetics of Live Performance.
