AJ Banach (trumpet) and Ryan Wolbach (clarinet) represent the University of Vermont in the 70th National Intercollegiate Band Concert in Orlando, FL today. Congratulations, AJ and Ryan!

From the NIB website:

"For more than 60 years, the National Intercollegiate Band has been one of the most exciting programs of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma.

The NIB ensemble continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of collegiate bands.

Open to all collegiate musicians, whether or not they are members of the Fraternity or Sorority, the NIB brings musicians face-to-baton with some of the most dynamically stimulationg composers and respected conductors in America.

Since 1953, the NIB has been the resident ensemble of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma's Commissioning Program, the longest-running commissioning program for wind band music in the United States."

This year's featured composer is Steven Bryant. The concert conductor is Richard Clary, Professor of Music, Senior Band Conductor, and Director of Wind Ensemble Studies at FSU.
