The College of Arts & Sciences partners with several external professional internship programs to provide semester-long, immersive experiences for our students.
The Washington Center Academic Internship Program

The Washington Center combines a 32 hour/week internship experience with an academic course. UVM partners with The Washington Center to make it easier than ever to spend a semester in Washington, D.C. preparing for life after graduation. Intern at one of 600 partner organizations, earn academic credit, and network in the nation's capitol. All majors welcome!

Semester in the City: Non-profit and community action based internship program

UVM is proud to partner with Semester in the City and the College for Social Innovation to make this internship program available to UVM students. Intern in a social justice, non-profit or community action based organization, earn 15 UVM credits and learn how to change the world through advocacy. All majors welcome!

Arts in Action: A semester-long New York City Internship Program
The College of Arts & Sciences at UVM is offering a semester-long socially engaged experience in New York City with a focus on art, community and activism.
The program consists of professional development work, an academic course called Arts and Activism, and a 3 or 4-day-per-week internship. Students of all majors are invited to participate.
