Associate Professor, Photography

Thomas Brennan received an M.F.A. in Photography from the University of Arizona. His work has been exhibited at the Los Angeles Center for Photographic Studies; Photographic Resource Center, Boston; Kohler Arts Center, WI; University of Puerto Rico, Rico Piedras, PR; Usdan Gallery, Bennington College, Vt; and in two Maine Biennial exhibitions at the Portland Museum of Art. Brennan has received three Artist Grants from the Vermont Council for the Arts and has been honored as Scholar in Residence at New York University on four occasions. Brennan is an Associate Professor of Art. His recent work Collecting Shadows is a series of cameraless photographic records of specimens and theoretical models from various periods and aspects of “natural philosophy.”
