Apprentice Intern Jamie Maguire meets a new arrival. 

Since its inception in the early 1970's, the UVM Morgan Horse Farm has had over 220 participants in its renowned apprenticeship program. 

Apprentices are fully immersed in this incredible equine program. As volunteers, they live on the farm and work alongside our full time staff, gaining practical knowledge and experience.

From stallion management, breeding, mare and foal management, nutrituion, and training progressions, this program is an invaluable experience for people looking to enter the equine industry, or simply better their horsemanship skills. Housing and utilities included.   

A suggested term is 12 months, and candidates are accepting on a rolling schedule. Contact Us to learn more.
