See below for ways to access recorded versions. We are grateful for the opportunity to join in on important conversations, about food systems, agroecology and climate change, which are being held during such a critical time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The evolution of agroecology as a practice, a research discipline, and a social movement &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/casfs.ucsc.edu\/index.html\">The UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems<\/a>, Quarterly Lecture Series<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">On October 7, Ernesto M\u00e9ndez joined five experts in agroecology in giving &#8216;lightning talks&#8217; on their interpretation of the evolution of agroecology as a practice, research discipline, and social movement. Recording coming <a href=\"https:\/\/casfs.ucsc.edu\/news-events\/events\/quarterly-lecture-series.html\">here<\/a> soon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/agroecology\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/CASFS.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"620\"><\/p>\n<p><em>An evening with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harrywalker.com\/speakers\/jonathan-safran-foer\">Jonathan Safran Foer<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/us.macmillan.com\/books\/9780374712525\">We are the Weather: Saving the Planet Begins at Breakfast<\/a> &#8211;&nbsp;<em>UVM Continuing and Distance Education, George D. Aiken Lecture Series&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">On October 8, Ernesto M\u00e9ndez interviewed author Jonathan Safran Foer about his book,&nbsp;<em>We are the Weather: Saving the Planet Begins at Breakfast,&nbsp;<\/em>and work surrounding climate change. The event was heavily attended.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/agroecology\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/UVM.032.20-Aiken-Lecture-Series-Jonathan-Safran-Foer_SocialGraphics_R1_Twitter-1024x512-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\"><\/p>\n<p><em>Dismantling and Rebuilding the Food System after COVID-19: The 5Ds &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/ubcfarm.ubc.ca\/\">The University of British Columbia Centre for Sustainable Food Systems<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">On September 18, M\u00e9ndez joined four other experts in the field to discuss redistributive policy tools towards the \u201c5D of Redistribution\u201d: Decolonization, Decarbonization, Diversification, Democratization, and Decommodification.
