Candidate, Alissa White"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/adaptationsurvey.wordpress.com\/\">The New England Adaptation Survey<\/a> is a research project based at the University of Vermont\u2019s Department of Plant and Soil Science.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this study is to generate usable information for farmers about adaptation strategies and practices, and is based on the idea that many growers are already actively and successfully adapting to severe weather to sustain the economic viability and ecological health of their farms.<\/p>\n<p>Six farmer organizations in northern New England are participating in the study to facilitate knowledge exchange across networks within the region, including MOFGA, NEVBGA, NOFA, CISA, Northeast Permaculture Network, and the VTVBGA.\u00a0The project is funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nesare.org\/\">Northeast SARE <\/a>and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climatehubs.oce.usda.gov\/hubs\/northeast\">USDA Northeast Climate Hub<\/a>, and supported by UVM <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/sustainableagriculture\/\">Center for Sustainable Agriculture<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/agroecology\">Agroecology and Livelihood Collaborative<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Read about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/agroecology\/alissa-white\/\">Alissa White<\/a> and her dynamic research team here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/adaptationsurvey.wordpress.com\/about-2\/\">https:\/\/adaptationsurvey.wordpress.com\/about-2\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Follow project updates on Instagram @nefarmresilience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New England Adaptation Survey is a research project based at the University of Vermont\u2019s Department of Plant and Soil Science.
