The Agroecology and Livelihoods Collaborative (ALC) Community of Practice
The ALC works as a ‘community a practice’, which can be broadly defined as people coming together to engage in a process of mutual learning about an area of interest. We bring together a dynamic collective of faculty, research staff, graduate and undergraduate students, extensionists, farmers and other professionals. We intentionally seek multiple ways for the members of the community to support each, both in the personal and professional spheres. This can include members teaching and learning from others, as well as coming together for workshop sessions around a specific issue. As a ‘people-centered’ group we aim to support and nourish our members to reach their highest potential. In turn, we expect them to work hard and contribute to our community to the best of their abilities.
