The Agroecology and Livelihoods Collaborative (ALC) Community of Practice
The ALC works as a ‘community a practice’, which can be broadly defined as people coming together to engage in a process of mutual learning about an area of interest. We bring together a dynamic collective of faculty, research staff, graduate and undergraduate students, extensionists, farmers and other professionals. We intentionally seek for the members of the community to support each other in multiple ways, both in the personal and professional spheres. This can include members teaching to and learning from others, as well as coming together to think and help analyze somebody’s specific issue. As a ‘people-centered’ group we aim to support and nourish our members to reach their highest potential. In turn, we expect them to work hard and contribute to our community to the best of their abilities.
